DIE’s of Affiliate Marketing

Being Defrauded

It can be a sure path to get defrauded, I just want to raise once incident where Santa Claus Christmas Store had two dozen websites signed on as affiliates and claiming commissions.

Fortunately Mr. Teare, the store’s general manager were looking closely at their analytics report & noticed a curious pattern.

“Over and over, a shopper would arrive at the checkout page and then disappear for several minutes before returning to make the purchase. These affiliates were claiming a commission on sales the store would have made anyway.”

These affiliates were claiming a commission on sales the store would have made anyway.” Mr. Teare realized & said “ that these customers were already on our site and prepared to buy, but at checkout they were Googling to see if any coupons were available. Because these new affiliates were advertising that they had special coupons for our store, customers were immediately clicking over there. The only problem is we didn’t have any coupon promotions running at the time.”

Withdraw problem

A major problem to withdraw to fund is to achieve the milestone. Suppose if you have earned $10, you won’t be able to withdraw the fund unless you the achieve the milestone decided, if it is $100, you have to wait till your accumulate amount reaches to $100.

Lack of payment methods

Preferred methods we know are Paypal & credit card, but most websites offers moneybrookers & alertpay, where you have to open a new account, verify business address, bank statements, etc.Little bit of a hectic for you.

Product policies

You can be a victim of product policy, because sometimes in spite of giving a consumer the company will not pay you showing the bugs of product policies.

Increase in refund rate if not handled delicately

Affiliates who are eager to sale posts exaggerated ads that results into an increase in the list of potential buyers. But then the customer find the product isn’t as described & asks for a refund. Can cause in generating low commission, will affect merchant’s reputation & also more complaints.
